Take Me to Church
'We went from Business to Boudoir'
Having the opportunity to collaborate with Bourdoir by LA was absolutely incredible! She is a fellow member of the UKBFTOG society, dedicated to showcasing the work of UK Black Female Photographers. There was a fun idea pitched for a Tog vs Tog session, where two photographer's choose a theme and photograph each other on a TFP project.
Collectively we decided to be daredevils and shoot each other in the theme of Boudoir... in public! It was a thrilling experience that I highly recommend to anyone feeling rebellious. LA is a fantastic visual artist, great at choosing locations, lighting and even gave me some handy tips to remember when shooting. She's capable of making anyone feel absolutely comfortable and confident, even in their undies.
Random fact: The location we chose was right in the heart of London, in an old derelict treasure called 'The Church of St Dunstan'. The church was built originally in 1100, but severely damaged in 1666 by the Great Fire of London. and again in 1941 during the Second World War, by The Blitz. Not only is it a great spot for a photoshoot, but it has a rich history and admirably strong architecture.
I've shared a couple of her snaps of me, shared on her instagram. Go check em out, like, follow and support her art. Further down you'll see some if not all of my fave shots I captured of her, transitioning from Business to Boudoir. Absolutely fantastic behind and in front of the lens!
